Transmission Fluid Change
I am planning on changing the transmission fluid soon in my 82 SC.
Any advice as to the minimum height the car should be jacked up to? Any thoughts on using ramps for the front and then jacking the rear by the engine? Thanks in advance. |

Just did it today on my '84 Cab. I went up (3) full "teeth" on a set of ratcheting jack stands, was plenty of "clearance, Clarence (Roger, Roger. What's our Vector, Victor? Sorry, 'Airplane' reference, couldn't help it, it just slipped out)".

Min. ht. is whatever you need to do the work... If you measure the drainage carefully, then add just that amount of new fluid, you might get away w/ not having the car level but instead having it nose down. |
