Help needed - Fuel line

Hi,

Can anyone help me find out where this end, the one pointed out with a red arrow, of the return line is going to be connected? The car is a 2.7 CIS.

Fuel accumulator maybe?

That diagram could be more clear. But on my 78 3.0 CIS, the line that connects right near the metal bracket shown is the main return line to the tank, but there is a tee connector behind the bracket and a second line that connects to a port on the bottom of the fuel accumulator.

It appears that on my car at least the fuel acc has 3 ports - two that run in line with the fuel supply, and a third that I suppose maintains pressure on the return circuit.

I must admit that when I put my engine back in the last time, I was a lot less careful about marking things and did some trial and error to figure out where the connections went. Fortunately the fittings and hose lengths make the right answer pretty clear when you have the parts, and the car, in front of you.

Good luck
Scott

Garage
One end is connected to the fuel distributor, and the other is connected to the accumulator.

I have only 2 ports in my fuel accumulator, one in from the fuel pump and one out to the fuel filter...

In the car today I have only one tee conector behind the bracket, the new line I got (like the one in the diagram) have two tee conections after the bracket. So I still confused.... Could I just block that end of the line?
