DC and the surrounding area.....

Hey everyone, I was just wondering how many people would be interested in meeting up some Sunday afternoon in the area somewhere. This is just a thought. So if your interested just let me know and I will find a cool spot for lunch or dinner, with enough parking for all of our beautiful machines. This is just a way to get to know each other and trade info, parts, story's, etc. Hope to hear from you. Thanks Jake

Jake have you been to dorkiphus?

I'm on the shore so i don't get up to crazy land that often but there are plenty of folks local to you.

Been Meaning To Ask

Did the Dorki BBS die? I haven't been able to access it for a couple of months. Appreciate a point out if the NoVA gang is using another site to link up.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make a run on Sunday (wife's always way ahead of me for planning stuff...). Would love to make it up for a fun run in the next couple of weeks though.

Gordo, are you using ".net" in your URL? It's not ".com"

We're out of town this weekend. Maybe sometime in June.

Jake,

Seems to be a few folks over on Dorkiphus that do this from time to time. http://www.dorkiphus.net/
They usually hook-up at the Starbucks parking in Rockville at the corner of Rockville pike and Old Georgetown Rd. Although they don't seem to do it that often.

The local PCA Chapter (Potomac) has been doing a 9:00 am Saturday breakfast get together for the past several months. Think its on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month or something.. I haven't made it yet! www.pcapotmac.org

The of course there is "Bull" form the Chesapeake region who puts on a few tours during the year.. these are usually big fun. Anywhere from 30-60 cars! He will usually post on Dorki, and on Rennlist on the 964 and 993 boards.

On the other hand, if some of you guys want to get together at some point for a drive and dine, I've got access to a restaurant in Columbia that would provide substantial safe parking for us as a mid to large group.

I've also got some nice senic tour directions already mapped out that would take us into the south-side of MD toward Shady Side Daulgren? Maybe we could get together an tweek'em to head into Annapolis or something.

Paul

If you guys end up planning a route south of the DC area, let me know. Beth and I would love to catch up. We have been kinda agguing as to which car to take this weekend, I think we are gonna have a 2 car weekend. I AM taking the SC out somewhere, she can have her Boxster fun all by herself if she wants. Some problems are the fun kind.

This is on tap for the coming Sunday... and it should be a good run.

http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=432362

Bull, from the Cheseapeke Region PCA does one hell-of-a job laying out the routes...
Although primarily Porsche, all kinds of hardware tend to show up
