bosch distributor grease
is this applied on the advance mechanism, and not on the bushing surface? Wouldn't the smallest bit fling off and build up on the inside of the distributor?

i put a very tiny dollop of it on the portion of the points which contact the shaft, right behind the small contact point. the grease is extremely thick and sticks very effectively to the points.
don't put too much or you WOULD run the risk of it breaking free.

oh well, no wonder I don't know what that stuff does. It's been ages since I've adjusted points, or even seen 'em. Thanks!
