benefits of fuel rails and fuel pressure guage???

What are the benefits that I would get on upgrading to fuel rails on the carb and adding a fuel pressure guage on non tracked car with stock webers. I understand from earlier posts that fuels rails will never leak, is this why others upgrade? Also I've learned you can adjust fuel pressure wih the guage, is this a problem and what will be the benefits once I install it.

Thanks.

Fuel rail: No hose replacement; reduction of fuel leak sources

Fuel pressure gauge: Monitors fuel pressure (realistically, only at idle unless you can look back there at speed).

You cannot adjust fuel pressure (accurately) without a fuel pressure regulator device. The gauge and the regulator are independent; not one in the same. However, PMO does offer a unit with both.

What car is this going into?

I have had 3 fuel pressure gauges fail and leak, so be careful.

My thoughts exactly, minimal benefit, could cause of a very expensive fire.

Put a Tee in, with a pipe plug, if you need to check pressure pull the plug and insert the gauge. Pipe plugs don't fail.

Its a 71T. Thanks for your responses but "why" if I have a stock fuel pump would I need to regulate the pressure. Is it preventative to watch for pressure decreases at dle or will i notice a benefit.

Dont get me wrong, I like the idea of cleaning up old parts and the look of a new line setup is awesome enough. Just wondering about other benefits.
