Where the heck does this belong?
I think it has something to do with heat/ventilation!?? I got the joy of putting this car back together; the previous owner had it all in pieces…it makes it that much harder to know where everything goes. Oh yeah, this is my first Porsche too.
So where does this part belong? Photos would be a great help. By the way…I own a 1974 911 Targa…I assume it belongs to my car??? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1211754907.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1211754946.jpg |

That's funny berettafan!
I deffinitly don't have a blower/fan motor in the engine compartment, and I didn't have THAT part left over...just the pece shown earlier. Take a look at my engine compartment. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1211765196.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1211765227.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1211765273.jpg It's possible that this part doen't belong to my car...there was a little confusion with the last couple of boxes I took with me. |
As long as I have your attention...
I not sure it my oil vent hoses are correct either. Is this the right way? I've read about the $2.25 FIX - oil cap seal. It seems to me this hose should connect somewhere. Right now there's a small screen on the end of the severed hose.

Your heat has been backdated.

Larrybrook
You might also want to consider back dating or upgrading your coil as well, those silver Bosches have a bad reputation for performance.

Not sure off the top of my head where that oil vent line is supposed to go. My car has always had a small K&N filter there. Better option then a piece of screen.
