What's the radio?

Does it have 2 holes vertically on each end? If so, you need a tool (or you can bend pieces of a coat hanger into a 'u', push them into the holes and it should pull out).

Disconnect all wires and antenna cable. Check for a rear mount bracket and disconnect. Carefully removed coverplate. Use screwdriver to depress clips on the front corners that hold radio to dash. Pull radio out from the front of the dash towards the inside of the car.

Just grab a big old screwdriver and pry it out.
That's what some ahole did to my 72 back in 1980.
It's OK though cause I caught him.
Something he will remember everytime he brushes his teeth

Joe, why are you removing the factory radio? If you're replacing a good working radio, I'd be interested in buying it, cus my Frankfort has quit on me.

If it's a FRANKFURT, they're worth something.

They can often be repaired for not too much coin.

And they don't have the holes on the sides.

I have installed XM so I no longer need/use. It got static through the blown front speaker last time it was hooked up. How do I tell if its Franfurt radio?

Wil get under dash soon.

Easy way.

Search ebay "Blaupunkt Frankfurt"

See if it matches the pics - there are several on ebay.
