Clutch problems after engine swap

I swaped the engine in my 72 911 this weekend.
I took out the original 2.4MFI and mounted the fresh rebuildt
3.0 CIS.

The clutch does not work.
It just bounses when it is depressed.

I feel restistance in the pedal, but the clutch does not disengage..

Did you forget to engage the release fork into the TO bearing when you joined the engine to the tranny?
