MFI Gurus-- Bosch Tech Documents soon available!
To all my MFI tuning brethren (you know who you are)
I have been carrying on a conversation with Matthias Klumpp at Bosch Automotive Tradition. He has, for some months now, been searching through the Bosch Archives for CLEAN copies of the original MFI repair instructions. The good news is that he informs me that the documents will be available on the Bosch Automotive Tradition eBay store very soon. Here is a preview of what is coming. . . the original is actually less grainy than this. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1212068936.jpg |
Very cool. Now I am glad I took 6 years of technical and scientific German in college and graduate school AND have a German mother!
Will you post when these are available? Cheers, Michael |
If only they would release tech docs and spec sheets for all obsolete parts.

That's fantastic news, John! Thanks for making this happen. :)
|
Great work John. Can't wait to read the MFI information.
|
Thanks for the update John
I'm checking that site once a week to see what's new. I must say that in my dealings with Bosch's historical communications group, they nearly always come through with the goods. They're an extremely obliging and capable group of people. It's great to see that Bosch recoginse the "value" they add for motoring enthusiasts (of all marques) and are prepared to put the info into the public domain. Uncommon practice. Regards John |
Very cool, John. Thanks for staying after them to find these and get them out.
|
Can someone post a link to the site please? I searched on ebay and did not come up with anything for Bosch Automotive Tradition.
thanks, Michael |
great work

The docs are AVAILABLE! Finally.
These were made available to us by Bosch to purchase on their ebay store. I think it's only reasonable that we pay for them. I know there are many who think it's OK to buy one copy and distribute it around the world, but I wouldn't do that with any other book I bought. If you disagree, Wayne's forum is probably not the place to conduct that kind of activity. Of course, this is somewhat different than our distribution of CMA, which is not available to the public for purchase anywhere. |
Very cool John. Damn good thing I grew up speaking German. Will there be English language versions available for the rest of you?
|
HUZZAH!!!
|
Fabelhaft!!
|
How is that different than what was available?

Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any info. |
