Carlsbad, CA cars & coffee tomorrow 5/31....

I'm going to take a run over to Carlsbad tomorrow morning to check this monthly event out. It's supposed to occur the last Saturday of every month. I'm not expecting anything near what Irvine has, but what the heck; it's Saturday morning, it's San Diego County, and I have a 911 to drive?

From I-5 exit Palomar Airport Rd
Head EAST (from I-5S-Left, from I-5N-Right)

Enter and turn RIGHT at T-intersection into SOUTH parking lot.

Well, do a google on Carlsbad Outlet Meet, and you'll find references on other boards: Lamborghini, Lotus, Ford, etc.....video, and other evidence showing it happens every month. The only reason I say that is because nobody here has attended.

Such a hardship going for a Saturday am drive to find out....

Well, we're taking this one out of the alleged category, and moving it to reality. There were probably 9 or 10 various P-cars, including David (DARISC) and myself from Pelican's board, a Pantera, a Lotus Esprit, a couple of Ferrari's, several Vipers, some Vettes, a slew of Mustangs, some hot rod Mercedes', a Prowler, and a few other odds and ends.

I cut thru the heart of the county, down Del Dios Hwy and thru the Rancho Santa Fe neighborhoods to get there, and then back home thru San Marcos. So, I got a beautiful 50+ mile drive out of it as well!

See y'all next month, lets get some more 911's....

I should note, the Cayenne definitely was cool hanging with us....it was a RUF conversion, and was probably the best SUV I've ever heard....
