The correct paint job on my 911T '71?

My car is going to the paintshop tomorrow.

Can someone tell me exactly how it was, back in '71?

My car is going to be white, like it was wen it came out of the factory. I want to be sure that the paint job is exactly like it was then.

I know the doors is satin black inside.

Please tell me:
Was it originaly body color or satin black in the trunk?
Was it originaly body color or satin black in the engine compartment?
Was the hinges in the front and back body color or satin black?

Not an expert on this but here's how it is on my 73 with original paint (also white):

Body color in the trunk
Body color in the engine compartment
Body color on all hinges

I have heard that some earlier cars had black hinges as well as some of the other areas you asked about, but I don't know what year that changed. I would guess that by 71 the black was only on the door interior, but that's only a guess.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "inside".

On my '71 the door frame and hinge area are body color - they change to satin black at the surface on the very interior of the door where the upholstery would be attached.

Engine compartment is satin black.

Trunk is body color (mostly). I don't think the factory put much attention into detailing the interior of the trunk.

There are several good threads on this topic on the Early S Registry. I'd search there, as there is a lot of documentation that will be useful in making your car correct.
