Porsche Crest Porsche shop NC

Hey everyone, Just a quick question. Does anyone know of any good garages in Charlotte NC? And also is there a website that tells where Porsche garages are? Jake

Hmmm....I'll be the first to say it, but search is your friend, as I know this has been discussed before.

As for a shop what do you need one for? PPI? Repairs?

Eurowerks is a very good shop. Jim is the owner/operator. I had work done there in the past and thought the whole experience was really smooth. (Granted this was a few years ago)

And there is a shop called "The 911 Shop". It is a really small shop and I never had work done there, but I spoke to the owner on the phone numerous times and he was really helpful.

And there is a Porsche dealership in Charlotte is well. I've never been there but since your post was kinda vague I figured I'd throw it out there for you.

Jim Burton at Eurowerks is a great guy and mechanic. Would recommend without reservation.

I personally would not send someone to "the 911 shop"

Eurowerks has a very good rep and I have used a shop in Hickory called J&S Motorsports in the past. The work was excellent but on major things he can be a little slow

I can personally vouch for Dave at Speedwerks and John Forbes at Black Forest Racing. doing business with either is a pleasure.

I had John Forbes in Lincolnton rebuilt my 3.2L motor in January. He is VERY talented. His workshop is so clean I believe you could eat off the floor!

Here is his link:

Thanks for the plug, Pookie! I'd add that currently Eurowerks is scheduling same-week appointments (sometimes hard to do with the summer rush!)

Look - Jim is working right now!:
(I think he lost a tool down in there)

Wish I had gotten in on this conversation earlier, but I have three comments:

1) I agree - I personally wouldn't send anyone to "The 911 Shop." I also would avoid "Stuttgart Haus." These are obviously personal opinions, but backed up by numerous experiences.

2) I think the two best shops in Charlotte are Black Forest Racing and Eurowerks. BFR is on the north side of the city, Eurowerks on the south side, so that might make the decision for you. At this point, I'm so impressed with Black Forest Racing that I'd still probably drive up there even if I lived on the south side. John is THE BEST guy to deal with. But I've been to Eurowerks a couple of times before I found BFR, and they did very right be my too.

So those are the two. Trust me, I've tried all the other ones. Some of the other shops might be more convenient, or less busy, or whatever, but these are the only two you should probably consider.

Yes, common ownership. Co-located in same facility.

OK, this is good to know. I have been working with Aaron at Zuffenwerks to buy/ship a roll cage from a fellow Pelican. These seem like nice professional people to work with.

I have used Eurowerks lets see 4 times now and all went pretty darn well. I can tell you from exprience that the 911 Shop is ran by a nice older guy but one of these I-will-work-when-I-am-damn-ready-to-sorts....you know the "Gone Fishin" sign is actually on his door more often than a impatient guy like myself who is spending alot of money wants to see. He acts like he is doing you a favor would be a good way to put it. Eurowerks on the other hand, much more professional and much more do what it takes to make you happy Mr. Customer type of attitude that you would like to see. They also realize that we are busy people as well and that it is hard to get and or pick up your ride so they have also worked with me on that too and often times in a busy world that is worth more than money to me.

Years ago my axle was making some noise and had to be serviced and re-packed, so Stuttgart house was the closest and the seemed knowledgeable, they never re-connected the auxilary cooler line to my trans and I went from possibly replacing an axle to needing a new trans on a 911 turbo.

didn't think stuttgart was still around - used to have a mechanic there by the name of "JP" and he was pretty good - He disapeared one day and from then on things started to slide.
