Which Magnecor wires?

I've installed an MSD in my 2.2E with Webers and want to try out the Magnecor wires in place of the Berus I currently have.

I've been searching around and have been finding various part nos for my car. Can anyone clear it up for me so I ask for the right product?

The US catalog calls it 6594
The UK catalog calls it 6503
PP looks like it calls it 6583

What catalogues? Porsche? Wal-Mart?? Magnecor??? Makes no sense. In any case, you want the 8.5mm wires.

I wouldn't be so quick on the red 8.5 size. I don't think it makes any difference when comparing new Magnacors to whatever old units you may have. The black 7 mm Magnacors are often dismissed due to their lack of bling factor, but their smaller OD makes fitting the holders a bit less problematic and also "crowds" the dizzy a bit less too. I believe the "core" is the same for both, the fatter reds have more insulation thickness, IIRC.

Get the Clewett wires instead. The rubber sealing ring that protects the VC plug hole was warped and distorted withing a few months after installing the Magnecors
The Clewetts seem to be holding up better than the Magnecors IMHO.

My magnecors are still in great shape after 25,000 miles.
When I ordered mine from Apex (before Pelican had a competitive price) they were built to order and drop shipped directly from Magnecor (very quickly I might add).
I have no doubt that you could give them lengths, wire sizes, and connector types and have them make you a set.

Why would I want to risk a mistake when there's a standard product there for me?
