Mt. Palomar run. LA & San Diego
Hey guys,
I'm not a heavy poster over here (I think this is #6) Anyways I've got a group over at Rennlist interested in a run on Mt. Palomar on the 22nd of June if you're wanting to go. Let me know and I'll include you on the list. The last run I was on was the New Years Day run out in San Diego with you guys and it was fun. The link: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=434012 (Wow you guys have spell check over here, I keep hitting it to send the message.) |
I may be able to swing that....I get back from Seattle late Friday nite before, but I'm lovin' learning the roads out here, and this looks like a good one.
|
It's looking like 17 cars so far. (Maybe 60% will show on the day) I think it'll be fun. The New Years day one was good fun. Nice group of folks here on pelican.
I'll put you down as a maybe. |
Friday night bump.
The list so far over at Rennlist 997RUF, 1 996, 7 993, 2 one's a RUF 911 pre95, 4 928,2 944/951,3 19 cars so far, so maybe 12 show, sounds good to me! |
Very interested, but not sure if we can make it. Love the Palomar roads. We'll know closer to the date, but we'll post to let you know. We'd bring a 993 cab to the festivities. Thanks for organizing.
|
Hope you can make it. I think we're up to 20 now.
|
When I lived in Fallbrook, CA ('82-'91), i made many Mt Palomar runs and it's a great place to drive. Great roads, beautiful scenery and Julian is a nice town to stop in for a quick meal...

"My first Porsche gathering!"
Please put me on the list. Which car should I bring, 997"S" or 87' targa?

Wow, tough choice. you're going to have to make that decision since I'd flip flop back and forth. There's going to be an assortment of cars from SC's to 997TTs. I'll mark you down for the trip.
|
I would like to go. Count me in.

Here's the list to date +/- a few I might have missed. As for the map I'll send it out in a bit. It's a good run, I just hate having to figure out how to keep sending it over and over in PM's... Cars so far (wow!24 potentially): 996,Me 993, Dino 996, Medtech 911sc, doug 996, Arnie (Maybe) 996c4, (mystery guest) 911C4,Stephen(?) 951, Darwin 928, Andy (?) 928, Randy (?) 951/944, Kevin 944, Spencer 911SC, Brett(?) 996, Baron 996, Dave Ruf, Javier 911SC, A coworker(?) 997Ruf, Norman 911Carrera, Ed 951, Ben 997TT, Anthony 993, a Pelicanier might be joining. 997, rtaylor 914/912 (dealers choice), Dave a Pelicanier |
Also, I want to get a head count and if wives/girlfriends/significant others are coming along to to the winery. Not that I'm booking a reservation but rather to get a heads up if some are bringing "extras" or not. My wife plans on meeting up at the winery. And there are others interested in doing the same since the wives don't enjoy canyon runs.... It's also a good idea to give teh restarant a heads up that there will be an influx of folks all at once.....
Let me know if you're bringing someone or they are meeting you there at the winery. (Which is a good idea and more than likely an easy way to get the sunday away from the "honey do's".) |
Friday bump!!!!!
Around 30 cars coming now. The only one I do not see in the mix is a 914. Any takers? |
I'll go if a non P-car can......participate
|
So how far are you on the 906? Think you can wrap it up by next Sunday?
|
LOL, About the same as what was pictured. I did find the uber-rare windshield washer switch/pump though...Joy!
|
Piece by piece.
|
Sweet! I'll be there but it will be in the (gasp) Solstice Z0K.
|
Now the 944's will have someone to make fun of!
|
Hey, don't knock the Pontiac. Remember, they build excitement! Haha. Anyway, the very rare Z0K was national champion in both SCCA Solo and Showroom Stock B over the last couple of years. GM's Performance Division (think Z06) built only built a handful of them (like less than a couple dozen total). 180hp or so, roll up windows, no a/c, factory Bilsteins, factory clutch-pack LSD, stiffer springs with a lower ride height, stiffer bushings, much larger anti-roll bars, etc., etc.
