Porsche-less again, but I'll be back!

I "accidentally" sold my Targa this week after taking a whim and listing it on craigslist at an optimistic price. Been thinking it would be nice to someday move up to a newer 911 (993?) and decided I'd just test the market expecting a lot of tire-kickers.

Darned if a guy didn't show up with cash and an offer I couldn't refuse: No PPI, no debating the desirability of the 2.7L cars, no rationalizing smoking on start-up, balky 1st gear downshifts, etc. Oh, and no lost day(s) getting it back in shape for CA smog test. Just cash on the barrel and drive it away. (I think it may be going back home to Europe.)

So this is another reminder to be careful what you wish for! What do I do now? Guess I'll dig up those threads on living with a 993 and keep an eye out for something interesting (that I can afford.) Wonder if I'll have to change my ID to
3rdTarga.

To Plavan: No, it wasn't him (whoever you're talking about) Thank goodness - life is too short to deal with obnoxious!

The buyer was a very nice older gent from SF who lives part-time in Eastern Europe. Very professional.
