i believe it is M12x1.25? or its 1.50?? I cant remember but beware that one missing bolt, it usually means the bolt hole threads have been stripped out.

he needs the special pointed bolts - the threads in the body of the car will surely be screwed up otherwise...

I just replaced both bolts on my '76. I got the standard length and also got 5mm longer.
I ended up using the longer bolts. I wanted to be in fresh unused threads. Take a bolt with you to the store to double check the size and more importantly the pitch. It is not a common bolt pitch. I do not recall the size or pitch. Only one fastener store in town had the correct pitch. Most had the diameter and length, but not the pitch. I paid around $10 for 4 bolts. Retail was higher. Carefully check the thread pitch. There were plenty of bolts that were close to the pitch. I went to several stores before I found the correct pitch. I had the correct tap, I used it to clean the threads before assembly. I loosened the nuts holding the mount to the transaxle, allowing the mount to line up correctly. Start the large bolts carefully by hand to avoid crossthreading. Tighten everything up and you are good to go. You may want to test run the bolts before lining up the mount. If you mess up the threads you are looking at heli coils.
