Muffler Question?

I have a muffler from what I believe is a thermo reactor car. It is a 2 in 1 out and I want to use it on a 1982 SC backdate conversion. The muffler has that little fitting bending forward off the bottom. Are the guts of this muffler the same as the "early" 2 in 1 out mufflers? I want to do the right side exit that I saw on a thread in this forum but I want to make sure I can use this muffler. Thanks for any input.

That muffler sounds just like my 77 2 in, 1 out muffler. The small tube on the bottom is part of the gas recirculating system. I just threaded mine and capped it with a pipe cap. I Have SSI's with this muffler. It should work on your car also with SSI's
