SE Mass / RI - Probable Valve Adjust Party...

Week of July 4th.

Mark (Buckterrier) & I will be doing valve adjusts on our 3.2L Carreras.

At this rate, I may plunk in new bulbs in the dash on mine as well, and I'll be installing a Weltmeister rear tow hook / jack pad while under there if I haven't already by then, and if motivated, I might try to finish fabbing that homemade strut brace, install the brake relay harness, and possibly even a Marcus Sucro headlight relay harness install, if I can figure out which wires go where...

I have a K&N recharge kit, (4) jack stands so those will be used up, a decent asst of tools, a new BBQ Grill (I'm partial to Johnsonville Brats so those'll definitely be on the menu), odd beer selection in the fridge, etc.

As Mark & I firm up the date, I'll be happy to let everyone know here. I'm a hop, skip, & jump from 295 / 95 / 495 in northeast RI. I have enough room between the 1-car garage & the driveway to handle... 5 cars being manhandled. Plenty of dead-end street parking, nice safe neighborhood (2 different neighbors are cops)

Those interested, let me know via email / PM & I'll make sure we have eats & drinks a-plenty.

Yes, I drive mine as much as possible. If it's >32° & sunny, I've got the top down.

We are on for tomorrow's Valve Adjust get together...

Breakfast first, wrenching'll probably start after 9 sometime, lunch (brats, dogs, burgers) after noon sometime & beer when you think you can handle it...

Cumberland, RI, 401-578-0652 cell, call or email for address / directions if you like!

I'll have a box o'joe & a dozen cholesterol rings in the am. If you have a specific brew you like, feel free to bring it, otherwise you take your chances. I'll have Sam's Light & something else traditional, the rest of my "cellar" is mostly belgians.

If there's a significant enough "oops" I'm breaking out the Johnnie Walker.

Got my first valve adjustment under my belt. Won't say it was easy but got er done and learned more about my baby. She doesn't even leak and no more annoying tick!
Thanks to Fred for his hospitality, tools, and know how. Thanks also to Steve for his help.

Hell Mark, thank Steve - all I did was heckle & bust your balls.

"Oh, DAYUM!!! Uh, this thing was stripped before, right Mark?"

After you guys left, a Ford-buddy of mine, Jared, swung by with his new score, a red 1989 Cougar XR7 (T-Bird Supercoupe Clone) that he got for $1800 recently...

Supercharged 3.8L, 315 lb-ft of tq... niiiiiiice.

Anyway, he brought the Yuengling, and the rest of my night was toast...

You guys are always welcome, anytime!
