A/C love it when it turns out to be cheap!!
The A/C in the targa just quit about a month ago. Due to remodeling, it's just been sitting on the driveway for that month, not in the garage. Today I got it in the garage and went through the A/C and found a burned fan switch. This is the 3 speed fan switch on the lower console. The A/C is after market, called a Davida system I believe, a piece of crap but I digress. Went to Lucas Auto Air in Van Nuys and they had the exact same switch new for $10!!! Ten bucks and ten minutes and I have A/C again. Life is good.

Would that be a Diavia? Just out of curiosity, why do you consider it a piece of crap? Unless you have one of the real early ones, they were amongst the best available. Could it be a poor install?

Sorry, yeah, a Diavia system. Very small condensor on the deck lid, uses the vent system that the car had without A/C so very poor blow at the ducts. I'm not convinced that the L/R wheel well condensor isn't picking up more heat from the exhaust system than it's rejecting.
