Central Locking ECU Exact Location
So I think I found the reason my central locking system doesn't work.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...e/S5000344.jpg The Stereo/Alarm installer strikes again. I wonder what they told to PO when they noticed they couldn't lock the car from the outside, with the central lock button, and that the lock-post flashers didn't work anymore. One way or the other I'll have to reconstruct the remains of the harness. I noticed an aluminum box with some kind of blue plastic mounted horizontally to the underside of the dash right behind the lighter-socket (In between the lighter-socket and the fresh air blower) This is pretty hard to get to and It didn't occur to me to see if my loose 12-Pin connector happened to fit this box. Can anyone describe where the Central Locking ECU should be located? I assumed it was just plain gone but it would be pretty awesome if I could repair and reconnect this plug. I ask because I have what appears to be the Antennae amplifier in the location where Bently indicates the locking ECU should be. Bently also doesn't seem to say anything about the '89 flashing door-locks. I had hoped maybe the box had been moved/changed or something. |
