Exclamation Help! Car won't start!

Good morning all. All excited to take my '88 930 to work this beautiful morning but my car won't start. The battery is fully charged. All the interior lights and gauges work and the buzzer goes when the key is in the ignition. When I turn the key-nothing. No cranking, no clicking noise, absolute silence. Any ideas? I'd like to be able to salvage the day and weekend!

With the headlights lights on ...when you turn the key to start ...do the lights dim?

I have had battery posts (in other cars) that were corroded and (although lights/etc. worked) kept the starter from getting enough voltage.

Start there (remove/clean ...cables/posts).

Mo, thanks for the response. Battery posts and cables are pristine and tight. Even threw on my 200 amp booster and still nothing. Not a sound when I turn the key. I'm wondering if it could be the ignition switch?

Certainly a possibility (switch).

No pre-warnings? IE: car had been running fine previously?
Switch never acted 'funny' before?

I'm not familiar with the later model cars ('88) so perhaps others will chime in. Good luck.

Car was running like a top. Never had any warnings. Thanks for your time man. Much appreciated.

Happened to me recently--same problems. Got a jump and it's good to go. You might have a drain somewhere?

Garage
Maybe one of the small wires wiggled loose of the starter solenoid the last time you drove it.

Did you find the reason for your no-start problem?? Mine does the same thing sometimes..thinking it might be the contacts in the ignition switch on mine.
