Got a questions about nuts/bolts for brake rotor hats.
Any nut experts about there?
Actually more of a question concerning bolts = more speficially nuts to attach my hats to new rotors - I got some bolts that are NAS quality SAE High temp - and some nets to attach that are self locking - but I have not seen this type before. OK for this application? Here's the rotor ![]() and for the record - these same rotors Wilwood GT Slotted have lasted me 13,106 miles (and 4 years) I can't tell you how many DE's I'm also still on the original set of pads - and would have had even more time with them - but somehow they got a little warped on the last session of the day last month - probably because I knocked one of my scoops off ![]() Here's the bolts and nuts ![]() Here's a close up of the nuts

These nuts are for aeronautical use...and yes, they are self locking. We use them on hot spots like engine, brakes and ACM because they support the the heat very well.

Thanks - that's the confirmation I was looking for. - one time only use, right? - Which way do they go on the bolt - skirt up or skirt down?

Just a guess but I would say skirt down. This way the load bearing face is larger.

Herman got it...we use them more than once because there's no plastic lock ring in...you'll feel it when torque them if they're still good.
