Windshield washer system: which hose goes where?

Windshield washer system: which hose goes where?

My car never had the parts so I need help figuring how to plumb the system. I'm hoping someone would take 5 minutes to look at their system and tell me what hose goes where, "B goes into 2". Thanks in advance.

PS I know I have extra hoses just because I figured it to be easier to cut the ones that were more difficult to insert in awkward positions. I'm gonna keep the lines coming from the pump.

PSS This is the last on my to do list before I can strip the tank and finish my front compartment project. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1213941042.jpg

I can't quite make out the year from the washer bottle tank. Maybe we can dig up some pics and parts diagrams though.

It's a 68 which is the year they retained the pump pan mounted bracket but switched to the newer bottle. In 69+ the pump mounted to the bottle. A diagram or pic would help. TX!

I just did this last night, but my memory is still not exact. First, pop out the black plug where your #1&2 are located, and find which fitting is attached to the tube that reaches to the bottom of the tank. That fitting should attatch to nipple ZZ.
Tube C should connect to nipple YY.
Connector D should plug into the black stopper as the return line nipple.
Tube B should plug into connector D.
I am assuming tube A leads to the nozzles.

Plug in the ground connector (brown) only in it's proper terminal.
Connect a jumpwire to the + terminal, and test your setup by touching the wire to the battery. Water should flow through the system. If not, switch the tube connections to YY and ZZ and retest. If it still doesn't flow (but the motor is running) try switching the terminal connections.

Bob--
There's a concurrent thread here if it helps any:

You guys are awesome - TX!

I'm giving this thread another bump because the PET only goes back to 1970. I have to remember to call Porsche and pick up my parts diagram CD ROM. Maybe it goes back farther.
