Backdate heater on Carrera 84-89

I know this subject has been beaten to death, but there’s one issue that remains unclear to me. Perhaps some kind soul can respond.

I would like to remove my engine-bay heater blower. However, rather that use the existing heat-exchanger crossover pipe found on the 84-89 model years, I would like to run independent RHS and LHS heater hoses to each heat exchanger. The LHS already has a hole in the tin to facilitate this connection. The RHS tin has no such hole and there doesn't appear to be enough room in the tin to accommodate a RHS flex hose.

Has anyone done this mod to the RHS on an 84-89? A photo of the subject area would be greatly appreciated.

Again, I apologize for bringing up this well documented subject

May I ask why you want to do this? It seems like a lot of work to make something that already works, work differently, but accomplish the same thing.

A very valid question. The reason I wish to do this is because I stupidly purchased this tow-hook not knowing it would not fit engines with the heat in place. It clashes with the cross-over pipe.

Ah, OK. Maybe you have to look for some engine tin from an older 911 for the right side? I can't help. Good luck!
