84 911 surging problems

So i posted ticking problems about a month ago, that got solved, the mechanic had to readjust the valves. now, the 911 is surging. it used to do it just around 3000 rpms, but now in second gear, itll surge pretty badly from about 2-3000. im guessing it might be the fuel pump or something wrong in the fuel system. any ideas fellas? please let me know.
