83 911sc Oil Leak At #1 Cylinder??

Hi Again, My Mechanic Say He Noticed An Oil Leak Comming From Upper Engine Near #1 Cylinder, Had Hydolic Tensionor Upgrade 4 Years Ago, He Siad It Could Be A Stud Issue But Cant Pinpoint The Exact Source Of Leak, Only Leave Dime Size Spot After Hard Driving, Thats All, Been Running Synthetic Last Couple Of Changes, Absolutly No Performance Change In Engine, Very Fast , Shoots Right Up To Redline No Problem, Any Suggestions On Other Possible Common Leaks In That Upper Area?? Dont Want To Drop Engine To Replace Stud Just To Find It Is Something More Simple. Frankley Hes Not The Sharpest Mechanis But Few To Choose Up Here. Oil Seems To End Up On The Jug Of #1, Oil Tubes Look Okay. Should I Notice Drop In Performance If It Is A Stud And Could I Do More Damage Drinig It?? Uses Next To No Oil. Thanks Bob

you should post a photo of the leak. "Comming From Upper Engine Near #1 Cylinder" -- it would be helpful if you were more specific

you might not have to drop the engine to check if you have a broken stud. take off the valve cover and you will likely see it if one is broken. if not broken, replace valve cover gasket with new gasket, new harware and turbo valve covers and see if leak stops

"Oil Seems To End Up On The Jug Of #1" -------- not sure what this means
