Need a Votage Regulator - which one?

This is to the Pelican Parts experts. I have a '81 911 SC with an external Voltage Regulator. I need a new one, but the picture doesn't look quite right. I've attached a picture of the one I have. Could you send me the part number of the correct replacement?

Just a forwarning, I had to replace my regulator, and when I did it didn't seem to do anything. Turns out they alternator had been replaced at some point and it had an internal regulator. Replaced that and all was good.

rnstout356,
I have one of those in my parts stash. If you are interested in it, let me know. (I bought it, about a year ago or so, it's not the correct one for my 77S and I found out that my regulator was ok anyway)

regards,

al

Al,

If it is the correct one I am interested.
New or used?
How much?
How do you want me to pay?
How much to ship?
etc.

PM me. I'll reply with my email address.

Thanks,
Randy

Yes Al bought that from me actually...LOL. It is the same exact one pictured.

I did exactly what Todd did. I bought it from another guy, it was new in the box and then when i took my alternator out to clean and repaint the fan, i found out i had indeed a internal regulator. It is brand new never been hooked up to an alternator if it is the same one Al bought from me.

Al,

I'll take it. I am on the road today and tomorrow, but could use my wife's paypal on your ebay site or . . .? It'll be tomorrow or Wednesday before I can get it taken care of.
BTW, My initial problem was headlight brightness varied with RPM and varied repidly at constant RPM. Battery is always strong. I went through the t-shoot in Bentlys. and found 14.5 - 15.2V at the battery 1500 RPM. I'll give the regulator a try.

Thanks,
Randy
