anyone ever install 83 cabriolet top???

Hi, I Have Completed The New Top On My 1983 911sc Cabriolet, After Countless Hours It Is Complete, But Thr Rear Window Is Not Taught. It Has Wrinkles In It, Not Tight, Others I See Are Nice And Tight No Wrinkles, I Noticed Two Adjustment Threaded Shafts Or Screws In The Upper Rear Sections Of The Frame, Theyseem To Be Adjusted Way Out, Should I Tighten Inward Or Futher Out To Hopefully Tightn Up The Rear Winow Section, Make It Nice An Unwavey Or Wrinkled, The Rest Came Out Great, Or Perhaps Something Else I Should Be Doing? Please Any Help Would Be Great. Should Have Left This One To The Pro's I Think. Thanks Bob

The factory says to put it out in the hot sun or heat it up with a blow dryer to get the wrinkles out. You might post a pic to let us know how wrinkled it is. Cheers and good luck.

I did my 84. It is a real PITA, isn't it? When installing the new rear section, those adjusting rods that are on both sides need to be loose and adjusted so the rear section, when installed can be adjusted "outward" after the new section has been installed to remove the wrinkles and to "tighten up" the rear top section. The entire top has several adjusting points, even the hinge arms are adjustable, to result in an almost wrinkle free "new top" Good luck!! Tony.
