Chrome windshield wipers
My longhood is silver and currently has chrome windshield wipers. At some point I'll have to replace them but I doubt I'll find any chrome ones out there (or will I?)
The ones I have bought are black. If I were to put them on as is, the wiper arm would be chrome and the wiper part would be black. I do not want to go to black, it will look silly on my car. ![]() What options do I have?

Chrome can be replated. Also, can't you fit the rubber part into your existing chrome surround?

I have a set of black wipers on my '67 coupe. Don't like them, but for the prices I see chrome ones going for it might be more affordable to have mine chromed.

You just need a blade refill insert. Then you can count on keeping the chrome ones for life. If they start looking shabby just have the pits filled and then the whole thing replated. I wish I had chrome arms and wipers but mine are all black.

So you're saying all I need to do is take off the rubber from the black ones I bought and and put it in the chrome ones? I'm not near the car right now so I can't check how they look up close.

Yep, just get some 13" new rubber wiper blades and you can slide in the new rubber. About a 15 minute job.
