brake pad warning light
The warning light on my '87 Carrera stays on all the time. It was that way when I bought it two months ago. The po said he could't figure it out. I have new pads and sensors. Actually I have one new sensor in front and one in back. The other two are disconnected. What else could cause the light to stay on other than the dreaded short in the wiring somewhere?

The light is out- finally. Thanks to help from this forum I finally understood how the system works. The Bentley manual was no help. The light is a much a check of the system as it is a brake wear warning. If anythng is not right the light comes on.

What was the problem with the Bentley Manual (as related to your troubleshooting),...and, especially,.... .........what did you find causing the light to be ON ?????
