Wevo engine and 915 trans mounts

Has anyone installed Wevo engine and transmission mounts in a SC? Based on my experience with the Wevo shifter kit, I am keenly looking forward to using their mounts (plus my original mounts are kaput), but I'd like to hear from others who've replaced their original mounts.

I have them in my 1980. They are the "softer" black pillow but they clearly transmit more noise and harshness into the car. I track my car so this is okay, but if yours is strictly a street car, I would stick with new stock mounts.

I have the same ones in my '82. True...more noise and harshness.

I like it.

Of course I also have SSI's barking through a 2 in/2 out Dansk ss mufler that sets off car alarms - with alarming regularity.

I have that too. You might find that the increased rigidity the mounts provide makes for a slight improvement in how your 915 shifts. I was told that it would, and it did in my car.

hit search and you'll find where I laid out every option in order from more stiffness (and hence NVH) to the least - there are 4 levels and you can mix & match engine/trans. mounts to get > 4 levels

the only thing you cannot do (yet) is get motorized, hydraulic, or fluid-filled mounts (!)

I ordered the rubber "sport" mounts from our host and I'm sorry I did. They're junk.

When the car is under max G load exiting a slow corner under full throttle the whole engine/trans twists in the car and makes the 2/3 shift difficult.

I'll be using the WEVO's when I get around to it.

the rubber "sport" mounts, aka Cabriolet mounts are in no way junk - sell them; somebody will be very happy with them

they are a bit stiffer than the regular OEM mounts; less stiff than either Wevo

Hell, give 'em to me.
