Introducing my '73 Turbo Hotrod

Purists turn away now! This started out as a '73 911T Sportomatic and has been transformed into a terror! A few details:

'77 Euro 3.0 930 engine with K27 Turbo and 964 Cams rebuilt by Tom Amon.
915 Transmission also rebuilt by Tom Amon.
North Hollywood Speedometer Turbo Boost gauge to replace clock.
Harvey Weidman refinished Deep Sixes (7R in rear).
Michelin Pilot 205/55/15 front and 225/50/15 rear.
New Bilsteins, swaybars, rear torsion bars, ball joints, steering rack, TT rods, etc.
964 front brake calipers with 22mm master cylinder - stock rear.
B&B Dual outlet exhaust.
380 mm RS Steering Wheel.
Leather GTS Sport S seats.
Autobahn Interiors German Squareweave carpet kit.
Main color is Chrysler "Cool Vanilla"
Stripe is Ford "Kiwi Green"

First gear is hardly usable. It pulls unbelievably 2nd through 4th! I will have to be very careful to avoid tickets or accidents with this! The nice thing is that when you are just cruising around and off boost - it's very docile.

My thanks to the many Pelicans whom I purchased from and provided great advice along the way.

Very nicely done.

SoCal70RSR 06-28-2008 07:10 AM

Wow! Well done!!

CurtEgerer 06-28-2008 07:13 AM

The ultimate sleeper?

Oh Haha 06-28-2008 07:16 AM

I'm more of a big ol' wide tires on four corners type guy but this is cool.

Even if it didn't have the K27, it would be one I would like.

I would have to believe that traction may be a problem? ;)

I love it...right down to the green sport seats !

fumanchu 06-28-2008 07:31 AM

Damn that's hot!

I love everything about it!

Very well done, great choices all around and still period appearance.

I could live with that all day every day!

Fantastic!

I like the color combo and the turbo narrow body idea. Feels good boosting in one for sure. For some reason nobody thinks twice about big power if you dont have flares.

billybek 06-28-2008 08:10 AM

I like it!!!
Very cool!

I'd consider myself a "purist" in that I prefer the stock look in the older cars, but you have done a beautiful job and the result is a beautiful car! I too could live with that car--forever. OBTW, nice touch on the 911 logo on the engine lid!

Awesome! Someone else beat me to it, but it's the ultimate sleeper.
