Well, it's supposed to be a lap of the Ring, and I'd assume they'd be cornering at a G or a bit higher, and braking over a G. Now, I'm no physic genius, but, it seems to me that while a car is cornering at 1G, it is also being affected by 1G gravity, so the net result isn't just a g sideways.
It looked to me like that rig could slosh the oil pretty far, and I'd believe them if they said the cornering loads were being replicated accurately.

Yeah I believe your right - 1G Lateral plus gravity would end up being the square root of 2 or 1.4G but if we are only concerned with where the oil goes and not how much pressure it's under I believe their setup can simulate well over 1G as a function of the same vector trig.
