Early Mystery Flywheels
I have 2 flywheels here and need help identifying them.
One is 5-bolt, other is 6-bolt. 5 has no identifying number on it and is heavy. 6 has 910.102.205 0 R and is quite light (comparatively) They are the same diameter, off by about 2mm on height. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Both have 130 teeth, the 6 bolt has a new ring welded on
NARP = 914? Do you know where I can get specs for the 910 wheel?

Yes, the 5 bolt looks like a stock 914/4.

none that I can see. it does have a large 574 scrawled into the outside wall, but that's it.

On the 5 bolt, others on the Early S list mention VW, however with the bearing residing in the flywheel it is definitely 914.

Nearly every automotive machine shop should have the flywheel specs. They should know how thin it can be cut and still be safe.
