Cat Bypass off my 1980 911sc

I went to install my cat bypass the other day and discovered, once I jackhammered my bolts off, that my catalytic converter was hollowed out. Since I live in the smog happy state of California I will leave the old cat on and sell the bypass pipe. Anyone interested?

Bill,
I did this about a year ago and you will have a louder sound. IMO the car sounds better but not too loud, just a little louder then with the cat.
As far as the HP claims, can't say it picked up any but it sounds faster

Dose that one have an O2 port?

If not, it is for up through 79 SC's.

80-89 SC's and Carrera's need on O2.

An O2 port would be on the top, and there is not one (we're looking at the top).

A muffler shop could probably weld one in, though.

Isn't that funny how you passed smog all those years without a CAT ? My car was the same, I found out after leaving Calif, but I passed year after year and my cat was hollow ;-)
Makes you wonder...

If you want a real HP increase, you have to install it along with a custom performance chip (SW)
