Fog Lights as Daytime Running Lights

If I want to have my fog lights come on with the ignition (assuming the switch is on) so as to work as daytime running lights, but still be able to turn them off if I want, should I just rewire as I have marked up on the schematic below? I know I know, it is illegal in many places, but here in Canada, all cars manufactured starting in 1990 must have daytime running lights, so I'm sure it is not illegal to add them to an older car, and many cars like Audi use the fog lights as daytime running lights.

The schematic may come out too small to read here, so basically I am proposing to disconnect the connection between the main light switch and the fog light switch (N on the main and 15 on the fog) and connect a new line between the ignition switch and the fog light switch (X on the ignition and 15 on the fog).

Thanks.
