Porsche withdrawal...must...hold...out....

I am just over the halfway point of a deployment in Iraq...going through serious 911 withdrawal...I thought it would make things better if I checked out some clips on YouTube, since I just got internet working where I am staying.

Bad move...one clip with the sound of a flat six blaring (note: technical content) and the view over twin headlight humps was enough to bring me almost to tears.

Just 6 or 7 more months...grrrr.....

Not looking for sympathy, just venting to a crowd that can relate.

RSflared72E:

First, thank you for serving our country in Iraq. I admire your commitment and bravery.

Next, YOU OWN A LONGHOOD WITH FLARES AND A 2.7 MFI RS SPEC MOTOR!

You are one lucky pup! It is no wonder you miss driving your 911.

Stay alert and hurry back.

Best of luck.

Mike

No MFI...it had Webers from a PO, which I sold before I left. I'm debating induction options while I am over here. It would be great to find a package deal on an MFI system but I am not counting on it...other options include EFI or just going with PMOs. I will have some time to decide when I get back, the car is apart to be repainted back to its original Viper green.

But yes, I do miss the sound of that baby...

Stay safe over there, and thanks for what you're doing to preserve freedom! Sounds like you have a very nice car, be sure to post some pictures when you're back!

It will be a nice car, once the project is done...the POs committed many crimes.

No need to thank me for anything - just doing our jobs over here.

We are saving you a spot on our next Hill Country Rally. Get back here and get that car back together so we can cut up some back roads.

Thanks,

Bob
