Oyltite

I read a thread about using a product called Oyltite to temporarily stop minor oil leaks. I have one on my case that I would like to top until such time that I drop the engine and split the case.

Anyone know where you can get this stuff?

I realize this may be an off the wall suggestion, but why not try a google search?

I am not familiar with oyltite however, the use of similar products in 911 engines is generally frowned upon given the small diameter of the oil passages.

Oyltite is applied externaly. It is brushed into cracks, etc. and seals them. The stuff is supposed to swell when in contact with oil.

I did try Google, but did not find anything definitive.

I can't imagine it being more than a very temporary fix. Probably best used by shady used car people...

I did the same and after following one specific link, found all I wanted to know about the stuff.
Perhaps we use different google search engines

I heard of a product that does the same thing, although I don't know the name of it. I have not researched it yet but its made by "Loctite"
