Im Ready For Paint !

Hi,

At last im ready for paint, I have decided to go with Gaurds Red.......
First of all i want to make sure of the paint code for this and was there different shades through the years ????
Also the car has a tan interior.... would anyone know if this was standard with red ??
Thanks in advance !

Guards Red with tan (Savannah?) interior. Nice choice!

If you have a 75 Targa the correct code for Guards red is : 027 via the porsche red book, that code is used all the way to the 90s per what the book says. 1990 it changes to 80K , in 93 went to G1. Dont see a listing for the code you provided.

The colour code corresponds with India Red in some of the later years on that website so something doesn't seem to be right.
I saw a number of cars with g-red and tan interiors when I was shopping...They look very good together IMO.

My original paint 1987 Carrera is code 80K- Indischrot (indian in english). When I went to the PPG paint store to get a pint of touch up paint all they had listed was G-1. I bought it and it matches perfectly. Guards Red, India Red, Indian Red- all the same.
