High tech sound deadening/thermal insulation
Please note! I do not know this guy, I do not work here, I do not know the quality of their product, but i do know that we're all looking for new, lightweight sound deadening and thermal insulation options for our 911s.
http://www.secondskinaudio.com/ He's been posting on a different forum that I'm on, and his stuff seems to been on the up and up. Just for the general Pelican brain trust as an option

Second Skin Audio has been on my radar for a while after seeing the Sound Deadener Showdown website. I just haven't found a reason to use it yet.

I used the damplifier on the rear shelf, seat back and seat buckets after I had stripped everything out.
It was easy to cut and work into place, even the curved surfaces. I then bonded lightweight carpet to the silver backing with 3M spray adhesive. I did not reinstall any other stuff. I am pleased with it and would use it again. |

The very best and also the most expensive (funny how it works out that way) is Cascade Audio Engineering. They can be found at: http://www.cascadeaudio.com/
I have used a few of the other well-known products, second skin, B-Quiet, and Dynamat, and Cascade is as far ahead of these others as an SR-71 is ahead of a Buick Roadmaster. Check out their latest high-tech heat barrier paint--it uses nanotechnology, and it is expensive. For the record I do not work for Cascade nor do I have a financial interest. My overriding Porsche philosophy has always been, if I am going to make a change, make it as absolutely good as possible. Cordially, Greg
