15 x 6 Fuchs Question

I currently have a set of five Fuchs posted in the classified section; this is not an extension of that ad but rather an attempt to clarify the wheel dimensions. The PNs and date codes are as follows:

Quantity of Four, PN 901 361 012 04 date coded 2/68 (2), 69 (1) and 10/70 (1)
Quantity of One, PN 911 361 0210 date coded 4/74

They are all stamped 6JX15.

I have conflicting reports on whether these are 5.5" or 6" wheels. Any help would be much appreciated.

Any thoughts on this information? Service manual states something to the effect of 5.5 wheels being stamped 51/2JX15. Any help at all is welcome.

Are you sure on the '69 and '70 part #'s?

I believe they should be 901 361 012 06, and yes those '68 wheels "should" be 5.5.

Not sure of the 6J stamp being correct for 68 or not, seems odd.

You definitely have the part number for a 5 1/2. 901 361 012 04 should say 5 1/2J X 15. If they were part of a later run maybe fuchs didn't bother to change the number...

I suspect you have 3 different wheels.

PN 901.361.012.04 is a 5.5x15 for model year '68

PN 901.361.012.06 is a 6x15 'deep' fuch I think you'll find your dates of '69 & '70 will have the .06 #

The '74 is probably 911.361.020.10 This is a later 6x15 'flat' fuch

If I'm seeing the picture above correctly the PN ends with .04 which is correct for a 5.5
(nevermind...the post now has the correct .04 instead of .06)

.01 is a 4.5 for '67
.04 is a 5.5 for '68
.06 is a 6 fitted starting in '69

.05... just send it to me!

They are all stamped with 6JX15. Someone said there could be a misstamping on the 04, but never mentioned a mistake regarding the 6JX15. Anything is possible; the wheels do measure over 6" on the outside bead . . . I appreciate all of the input.

Did a closer look reveal an ".06" not the posted .04 at the end of the part # for the wheels date stamped 11/69 & 10/70?

Clean it off and take a good close look at it.

Well...I'm just looking at a pic and of course it's the least visible...

but it sure looks like the last number in the last picture is a 6.
It appears rounded on the top and bottom with a curved line through the middle.

You were correct in your identifications; I was mistaken in my quest. Turns out that there were three 5 1/2 deep dishes and two 6", one flat and one deep. Whoever had this car before me was driving around with three 51/2 wheels and one six! To each his own.
