Starting problem when warm
 

I've been having a problem recently.
When the car is cold it starts perfectly on the first or second key turn. After I drive it for a while and the engine warms up it has a serious problem starting. It takes 4 or 5 key turns to get it going. And I have to hold the key for several seconds. BTW there is no back firing or popping whatsoever.

Anyone have any ideas about what is going on?

Yep, or the check valve in the fuel pump. Mine was the accumulator.

The accumulator is only a couple years old. So I'll rule it out for the time being. How do I check the check valve?
Also, why would either of these thing only cause problems when the car is hot and not cold?

The check valve or accumulator keep pressure up in the fuel lines after running the engine. If one of these fail you lose the liquid seal in the fuel lines and the engine heat "boils" the fuel into a vapor. This is called vapor lock. After the engine cools the fuel re-condenses and it's easier to start.

Thanks for the info. Is there anyway I can check the check valve without replacing the fuel pump?

Some fuel pumps have the check valve built in and others have an external check valve. You have to calmp the fuel line to the inlet side of the fuel pump, remove the fuel line. Next you need to remove the fuel line on the discharge side of the fuel pump. if you have an external check valve remove it - if not, then you have to remove the fuel pump paying attention to the + and - lines on the fuel pump.

To check both the external/fuel pump check valve, you can place a hose over the outlet side of the check and put some air pressure on it. If the pressure builds up (need only 10 psi or so) and holds then it's good

Same with the check built into the fuel pump. If the check valve checks out ok then the fuel accumulator needs to be checked. Also, while you are at it, check the filter in the inlet side of the fuel pump. This has a tendency to clog up and will starve the fuel system.
