Unwired Tools UTCIS Control Pressure Management
I posted this on Rennlist and their was a suggestion that I should post the same question here. Has anyone used the Unwired Tools new UTCIS replacement upgrade for OEM CIS Warmup Regulator? If you have what has been your experience with the unit? I have a 1975 911S that I've owned for 28 years; It's a California car that I just put back together. Engine and gearbox completely rebuilt with SC cams and SSI heat exchangers. The shop who did the work recommended that I go with the Unwired Tools unit as an update to the traditional Porsche warmup regulator, which I did. I am still facing the same problems with the Unwired Tools unit that I used to face with the Bosch warmup regulator. Unwired Tools has replaced the unit several times, but the issue still exist. When the car has been ran and it's hot, it will not fire up and I find myself priming the fuel distributor. Peter Z. suggested that it could possibly be the fuel accumulator, which I informed my Technician. My Technician stated that the unit is not letting a valve open and close and this is why the car will not start after it has been ran for a period of time. My Technician feels that it could possibly be a problem with the software for the Unwired Tools unit. My Technician stated that he used their early version on a 74 911 with no problems, but he has had some difficulty with the new unit on my car and 83 SC. The accumulator will still be checked by I would like to know has anyone had any experience with the Unwired Tools Unit?
