I'll soon be replacing the "smile" that goes between the hood and bumper on my '87, but I have a question on the cosmetics:
Was this ever painted, or should it be the as-supplied dark grey plastic finish? I ask because on my black/black sunroof coupe it is painted. But that could have just been the previous owner getting tired of the plastic faded appearance and not wanting to replace it. Or maybe he thought the matte finish broke up the appearance of the shiny black bumper & shiny black hood too much. Thanks in advance. Last edited by dw1; 07-08-2014 at 09:58 AM.. |

not painted, the plastic is black with "wrinkle" finish and looks great when new even on a black car
