Frequency valve Issue?
Ok finally got my car from the shop back today and I was changing out my spark plug wires to Beru, start the car up and I can hear a buzzing sond and its the FV (Which was changed out 1 month ago) car proceeds to start dying, turn it on again and open the engine lid and diconnect the FV, it runs fine....
So what else could the piece here that is causing this? I have tested relays, the bran, changed out the FV ? |
FV is supposed to buzz.
Disconnecting it puts it into rich mode? (I think). Or really lean??? Is your car running too lean? Too rich? |
I had this issue a while back, one day the car didnt want to start. Next day turned it on, but it kept dying on me. Someone suggested I check the FV, i disconnected it and it ran fine. I am trying to get the car ready to sell it and change out the FV and I am getting the same issues and when this first started.
I just got the car back from shop and swapped out Jacobs wires for Beru wires and now this? |
gotta have the FV functioning. it goes way lean when it doesn't. so if yours runs better with it disconnected, then it must be way rich with it hooked up.

Thanks for all the advice on this and in the past on this issue... So an adjustment should work then? Could that be the reason why the car does't want to stay on? The Aux lghts go on when it does this? |
The FV is on the same fuse as the interior lights and the clock.
FWIW. |
