Bilstein shock part numbers
I have a 1970 911E and I have I have the following shocks in my hands (new):
2 x F4-P36-0113-H0 2 x F4-B46-0169-H0 I have done extensive research and cannot reach a definitive conclusion on whether these will fit my car or not. I was looking to get HD and not sport shocks. Also, I am not sure what kind of struts my car has in the front. The reason I'm saying this is because I had to change the ball joints and the 901-341-049-00 ball joints which are advertised as being for my year would not fit (the pin wouldn't go through). The mechanic then tried the 911-341-049-01 (1972-89) which did fit. I am thus assuming that someone has put later year struts on my car and am wondering if this has an impact on the shocks I want to put in. |
Nobody? Anybody? Somebody?

F4-P36-0113-H0 – are front Bilstein Sport inserts for Boge struts
F4-B46-0169-H0 - are Bilstein Sport rear dampers for '72'73 models |
Thanks Andy. Now that's what I call a not very successful purchase :(
I gave the guy an order for 0112 and 0167 and he sent me 0113 and 0169. Go figure... Will the 0169 go on my car? |
|
Can anyone shed any light on this? Most importantly, will the 0169 go on my car?

The B46-0169 is the sport shock for '72 & later cars.
Your '70E needs the 0167 which is listed as HD. |
OK, thx Steve.
