Need power window wiring help-already searched

I 've searched and found nothing I need.

I know I need a new PW switch for the PS door but what I would like to do is use the DS switch until the new one arrives. I have the window closed but I would like the option of opening it as needed.

Both switches in the Driver's door are good and wired correctly but without the switch in the PS door I get nothing when using the DS switch for the PS window.

make any sense to youse guys yet?

What do I need to do to the wires on the PS door to make the setup work for now?

Thanks

I never thought about it and my little brain can't figure much now.

you figure

i have factory workshop electric diagrams if needed.

it's a double pole double throw circuit, DPDT.

the motor wires get reversed for changing direction.

so far if mine I'd get power and a ground to the passenger side and wire it as the driver window with the switch on the passenger door.

maybe more thoughts later?

ps: driver side was bad. fixed to pass side

an independent DPDT switch's the ground and power with the center terminals from the 2 wire motor.

Seems like the ground might good from the harness? Gotta get power to the pass door. One power wire is shared at both ends of the switch cross ways.

If this diagram is correct I would connect the Red/black wire to the black wire of the motor and the Red/white wire to the green of the motor to duplicate the at rest position of the switch.

Cool. Thanks guys. I did as Rick suggested and it works now. I gutted the old switch and put it back in the PS door until my new one arrives. No one but me is the wiser. hehehehehe

I tried to figure out a way to use the old switch and solder the connections as suggested but ran out of time.

Yes, I could have left the wires out and the door panel off but I can't stand the sight of an interior with the guts showing.

Ronin,
The wiring diagram you posted seems to disagree with what is in the Bentley Manual for year 1986-1989. Specifically the red wire with black stripe from pin 2 of passengers window switch (on drivers door) should connect to pin 5 on passengers window switch (passengers door). Also the red with white stripe wire from pin #1 of passengers switch (on drivers door) should connect to pin #3 on passengers switch (passengers door).
I might add that I think switching these wires will have no effect on operation because both Red/Blk and Red/Wht are 12 volt source, it just doesn't match the schematic in Bentley Manual.

I drew that schematic a couple of years ago. I recall that it was based on an earlier model, perhaps an SC. Switching the two wires should have no effect.
