Zef 07-29-2008 02:43 AM

davisriley 07-29-2008 03:27 AM

Quicksilver 07-29-2008 04:03 AM

How can it not make you happy with all of those little smiley faces?

Doug Steinel 07-29-2008 04:59 AM

fast!

Just think how fast it is now that it has two engines!

vreference 07-29-2008 05:24 AM

Funny, the car got a much warmer reception the last time it was on here. I could do without the clear hood and velocity-stacks but it certainly isn't a clap-trap and I'd be interested in seen it go around a track.

Pretty sure the original engine has been removed :)

BrokeMyCar 07-29-2008 08:15 AM

I think Doug just won this thread!

Words to live by, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

I'd bet it would sink if you threw it in the water . . . and is therefore . . . a witch! A witch! To the pyre!

RWebb 07-29-2008 10:28 AM

what they are not showing you is that it now has a Subaru motor in the rear -- that's for fuel economy.

The front motor is for when you want to pass somebody.

The best of both worlds, see?

One of the Texas craigslist sites has a 959 body kit for $2500 if somebody so inclined to kill a Porsche.

i believe not, if it floats it's a witch, if it sinks it is innocent.

burgermeister 07-29-2008 12:45 PM

What's wrong with that? Looks well done to me. I doubt it goes around a track - I suspect it goes ALONG a track, for about 1/4 mile, and very quickly at that.

As far as drag racing, I have to say, seeing a nitromethane dragster run a sub-5.00 , 300+ MPH quarter mile is one impressive experience. The engine is about the loudest thing I've ever heard in my life.

pwd72s 07-29-2008 05:19 PM

The world is full of people who think they know more than factory engineers. Many try. Few succeed.

cgarr 07-29-2008 05:33 PM

All that weight up front helps hold the front done when doing those 1/4 mile runs I would guess, I bet it goes like stink.

It's called Hot Rodding that's why- so yes, I do believe you are missing something.

Think about it- a motor that big would not have fit in the back- so where else would he have put it?

I wouldn't build it- but I can certainly appreciate the level of work.
