2,7 and 3,0 distributors do not fit, the shaft diameter is too big.
SWB cars use a cast-iron Bosch, LWB 69 use an aluminum body Bosch. What engine type?

There are several that will work. I just went through the same thing. Is your 68 2.0 stock or modified? Is it a T, L, or euro S engine?
Regardless of your engine's configuration, you *can* use a 72-77 larger shaft distributor and have it turned down by a machine shop. Distributor cross reference. This should be helpful.
