911 repair party

Just saw an old thread referring to repair parties for 911's. Of course this would be in ones own general area. i have done quite a few repairs/replacements and maintainance projects on my 86 carrera. Purchased quite a few tools specific to the work beyond the ones I already had. Not having any luck with finding a shop in my area (other than a Porsche dealer in the next state) that can do a corner balance so I can get my ride height and alignment done right. I just purchased a corner weight system that they use on race cars so I can do this myself. It would be great if a few of us could get together to knock off different jobs or even just check things with others equipment (like the corner balace scales). The MIG welder comes in real handy also. I am in the western Massachusetts area (Holyoke/Springfield) and would just love to do something like this. I know a few guys got together down in Rhode Island for one of these parties about a month ago but I couldn't attend because of work constraints. I do have weekends off though but they had their work camp on the weekday 8 am to 5 pm. Also have vacuumn pump for AC. Maybe even work something out to borrow lend tools or show up with the right equipment to help with a job. Anyone interested in this. Looking to learn to adjust valves, well I know how to adjust valves but never done it on a Porsche before, I have all the tools to do the job.

janz, I game for checking/adjusting the corner weights of my 87 and a/c check. I'm also looking to adjust my valves in the near future, and would need some instruction/ help to do that.
Fred in RI had a tune party a month or so ago, I couldn't block the time out from work.
Let me know!
Here's a group of us that will be gathering a week from this Sat. come join us.

Going to try to make it out your way that Sat. Did I meet you at Limerock ? Went out with the guys after meeting on the MA Pike in Westfield early Sat. Paul was the lead on that group. When we got there (it was my first time at such an event) I was dazed by all the cars and activity and just wandered off taking pictures all over the grounds out there. Never really got a chance to converse with folks, like a kid on his first trip to a candy store.

No, I went down the Jersey Shore for that weekend. Introduce yourself to me, my car is silver and most likely will be with a friend that has the blue M3 BMW. I'll introduce you to Fred; let's see if we can plan some tuning with him.

Intro: 54 years old, male, have an 86 Carrera coupe, black and black. Purchased car back in April, garage find that hadn't been on the road for at least 3 years. Mice had gotten to the wiring harness and a bunch of other issues. The body was clean and frame in real nice shape. Rebuilt the wiring harness over the course of 4.5 weeks then attacked all the other problems. Still dealing with the way the previous owner lowered car without thought to what happens to the rest of suspension and alignment. Will be making post on recent suspension events looking for advice.
